Baithakji pictures – Kashi, Warkala etc

bg_thumb_baithak1The Baithakjis of Shri Vallabhkul are a salient feature of Pushtimarg; Spread across the whole of India in the most diverse of places and the most distinct of locations, they stand as proud landmarks of the journeys of Shri Vallabh, Shri Gusainji and subsequent Acharyas as they undertook limitless parishram to bring the lost jeevs back to the feet of Shri Thakurji. Some Baithaks are on river banks, some on kunds, in deserts & forests, on the hills and on islands – each and every one a reservoir of infinite spiritual energy; One that has to be experienced by oneself to understand.

It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words and a picture with some words – would only increase the measure. In 2006 and then again in 2007, Prabhu Kripa se we along with 250-300 vaishnavs undertook two yatras – one to the South and one North, to places such as Charnat, Naimisharanya, Adel then onto Rameshwar, Vishnukanchi etc. Here I am posting the pictures of some of them along with a short caption to highlight the significance of the divine places.

You may have to scroll each picture after clicking on them to read the caption below. Included is a separate download link for all the pictures combined, so that you don’t have to save them individually.

This is the charitra that matches Aapshri’s first photograph:

    BAITHAK NO.24
    SHRI MAHAPRABHUJI’S BAITHAK AT CHITRAKOOTA
On the foot-hills of mount Kantanatha, under a shady tree, Shri Mahaprabhuji conducted a discourse on the Bhagavatm and Ramayanam. Shri Hanumanaji, the foremost devotee of Lord Rama, came daily to hear the discourse while standing on one foot. Shri Mahaprabhuji requested him to sit but he said that to stand was his oath of austerity.
Kantanatha mountain was the older brother of Mount Giriraja. He had a burning desire to experience the touch of the lotus feet of Shri Mahaprabhuji. One day, he came upto Shri Mahaprabhuji, disguised as a brahmin and said, “Rama and Sita who resides on top of the mountain, has asked me to tell you that you should bring them some food as they are hungry.”
Shri Mahaprabhuji could identify him easily. He took some food and ascended the mountain where He saw Rama and Sita sitting with Lakshmana standing behind while Hanumanaji stood by with folded hands. Lord Rama welcomed Shri Mahaprabhuji and made Him sit by His side on the throne. Shri Mahaprabhuji then made the offerings to the Divine Couple. Shri Hanumanaji took the remains as prasada.
After a delightful meeting, Shri Mahaprabhuji took His leave to return to His Baithak. He later explained Damala and Krishnadasaji, who had raised doubts about Him feeding Rama, that there was no difference in Rama and Krishna except that “Rama is controlled by laws and Krishna is governed by grace.”

This and other Baithakji Charitra’s can be found on – http://mahaprabhuji11.blogspot.com/2008/11/baithak-charitra.html

  • Right now I am in Australia, I am here since last one year and six months. I booked a ticket of champaranya at the time of departing India, unfortunately due to natural desester I could not travel with my family over their.
Now I wish to travel all 84 bethak jee. Can you please suggest me how many day’s it will require for that and amount that I have to spend.

    • Vikramji,
Yatra to all the 84 baithaks at one stretch is a great manorath. I can’t really guide you about the expense involved, that has too many factors involved which are dependent on yourselves. However,I do remember seeing a leaflet some days back where Vaishnavs had collectively hired a bus and were travelling to all the 84 baithaks in about 3 months.

  • Ramesh Gandhi

We are planning tour of south India.

Can u provide information of Baithakjis in south with nearest rail staitions /towns?
    If, any sight available,pl suggest.

    With regards

    Ramesh

    • Rameshji,
There are 5 prakat baithaks in the south.
Chennai is a good starting point. Vaishnavs begin there, then use the road to visit in the following order, though you can also use trains.
      1. Shri Balaji
      2. Shri Vishnu Kanchi
      3. Shri Rangji (Tiruchchirapalli – Trichy)
      4. Shri Rameshwar Baithak
      5. Shri Warkala Baithak (Trivandrum)
Then onwards to Cochin – Ernakulum.
You can find some more info here Shri Balaji baithak has a phone no.
There is a language problem sometimes in the south. No Hindi or English.
Email me from the website if you need more help.

    Dandvat Pranam JJshri…….
wat is d meaning of “Asurvyamohleela.”

    • Goswami Anandbava

      Sonal
Asur-Vyamoh-Leela, mainly refers to the prasang of Shri Vallabh, obeying the wishes of Shri Thakurji, left for Nitya Leela at Hanuman Ghat in Kashi, Banaras.
The full meaning of the word means that it is only to deceive those people (Asuras) who do not understand the swarup of Shri Vallabh that He became invisible (Asura-Vyamoh) for them.
For Vaishnavs Shri Vallabh is always birajmaan on Bhutal with them, He never leaves them. He is fully present in His Granths, Baithaks (Padukajis) & Vallabhkul.
      Ashirvad.

    Pranam with humility
I must share this with you that after a dull day just craved to listen to Mahaprabhuji’s kirtan to feel accomplished that atleast day ended on a good note but rather with Thakorji’s krupa I have landed on a platform where I can interact with you and seek your blessings that is simply gracious. Kindly accept pranam from all of us and belss us to do bhakti and refrain from any evil act. Bless us to be self-content and do good act, if not inspiring, with utter faith on Thakorji.
    Prnam

    • Urmil,
Shri Vallabh has advised jeevs to take the path of Seva & Satsang to achieve all that is required in life. (refrain from evil act, be self content, do good acts, have faith etc). Glad you found the articles on the blog useful.
      Ashirvad.

It is with such grace that i have had the opportunity to see these pictures that aapshri has posted. I pray for continued blessings so that I may one day have the chance to make these visits. With His grace I have recently been blessed with sewa and I rejoice everyday:)

    • Kiranji,
Very well written, ” Recently I have been blessed with Seva, and I rejoice everyday”. Really captures the essence of Bhagvad Seva.
Glad you found the pictures of the Baithakjis inspiring. Bhagvad Kripa se, make the yatra sooner than later.
Got your msg on Facebook too.
      Ashirvad.

      Leicester Bhakt!
I highly appreciate your bhav. I will be in Leicester on the 6th of May, 09 at the Belgrave Neighbourhood Centre (3pm to 5pm).
No way of recognizing you, since you haven’t given a name.

  • Krupa

    Dandwat JJ,
    Jai gokulke Chandki,

I wish I had words to describe the essence captured in these pictures. All I can say is..does aapshri have more ? :)

Where’s the Warkala baithakji? I mean which state? I hadn’t heard it before.

    • Kripa,
85th baithak secretly prakat by me!
Actually it another name for Baithakji No.48, Janardan Kshetra Baithak (Kerala). Where Shri Janardan Bhagvan heard with extreme joy, the Prakatya Varta of Shrijibava.
Should have put down the Baithak nos with the photo. Pure inertia!
Also always tick – Notify me when my comment gets a reply – box when you comment. Saves time having to check whether there is a reply.
